China and Israel are developing air connectivity
Good news for Israeli tourism business: the governments of China and Israel are developing air connectivity between the two countries and it should lead to a rise in the number of Chinese tourists.
The tourism market in Israel
According to a memorandum of understanding signed by the Civil Aviation Authority of Israel and its Chinese counterpart, the Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC), the frequency of flights between China and Israel will reach 30 passenger flights and 4 cargo flights per week. Compared to the current agreement, this new agreement would represent a 50 percent jump in the number of passenger flights.
Last year, Israel attracted almost 115,000 Chinese tourists – a 56 percent jumper on the year prior. The country already has been enjoying a huge growth in the tourism market, but this agreement will help to reach more Chinese tourists. The 50 percent increase in direct flights between China and Israel will be more convenient for Chinese travelers.
