A Lead can be a website visitor or a company asking for a callback or for more information about your company’s services. A lead who approached you will always give his information (name, phone number, address, email, etc), these precious data will give you the opportunity to make a bespoke offer for each type of lead.

1/ Be Online

With more than 660 million netizens in Mainland China Only, which is about half of the population, China is the most connected country in the world, so a Chinese website is the first thing to do to reach this potential investor or customers. Chinese netizens spend 40% of their 24h on the internet

In the process of online presence, having customer service available around the clock for your Chinese visitors is very important.

2/Visibility is the Key:

Google is BLOCKED in China!!

Baidu (the Chinese Google) owns 80% of the search engine market shares because of the 650 million mobile search users, so if a travel agency ranks itself on the first or the second page, it will benefit from enormous traffic.

So how to be ranked high on Baidu? Mainly by using relevant keywords on the website and optimizing it for Baidu. Being ranked high on Baidu, the most used search engine in China is the best solution if a UAE company that wants to be visible in the Chinese market. The western search engines are not allowed by the China Great Firewall’’.

Consider also some backlinks in your website in order to gain Baidu’s trust. Finally, you can also invest in some PPC campaigns on Baidu (just like Google ads).

3/WeChat, the Chinese first Social Media platform:

If you are well known among the digital community on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or other western Social Medias, you should know that it’s useless in China.

WeChat is the first social media platform in China, with more than 800 million users, so in order to connect with Chinese customers; you will have to be present on WeChat to reach these people by creating an official and verified account. Publish frequently good quality content when your Chinese audience has got nice and interesting content, it will push them to comment, like, or share. Finally, we have to say that when you’re being smart, some of these users may just be leads of your business.

4/ Like in the Gulf, reputation is important in China:

E-reputation is vital to your business if you want to attract Chinese investors/distributors or customers. So after having access to an important pool of traffic on your website and a strong following base, it’s important that you work on your online reputation

Collaborating with a local marketing agency is the best way to build a strong e-reputation. It will make sure that negative comments are nearly impossible to be found on Baidu. The lead generation agency will take care of creating and maintaining a good e-reputation for business by getting people talking positively about you in forums. There are also the Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) that write positive things about your company, service, or product. E-Reputation is important because the Chinese always trust others’ opinions before buying or signing a contract.
